Our gel contains carbamide peroxide which is a common used active ingredient to whiten  teeth. Carbamide peroxide is created by combining hydrogen peroxide with urea, and is a  much gentler whitener then hydrogen peroxide. There is a 3:1 ratio between carbamide and hydrogen peroxide. We have a photo initiator in our gel formula which gets it acting  immediately with the teeth whitening light.
